exfat-utils software package provides utilities to create, check, label and dump exFAT filesystem, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install exfat-utils
exfat-utils is installed in your system.
Make ensure the exfat-utils package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep exfat-utils *
You will get with exfat-utils package name, version, architecture and description in a table
